To celebrate finishing my English paper (or rather, saying "screw it" and writing a closing sentence), I've completed my new layout! I was this close to doing a Power Rangers layout, but nothing seemed to work. =/ Oh well, maybe another time.

This past week has been wicked busy. I've had to: write my honors paper, catch up on all my honors reading, do an entire chapter's worth of French homework, create three chapters' worth of French flashcards, write a film review for French, fill out a sheet on French culture, write a Shakespearean sonnet, write an English paper critiquing said Shakespearean sonnet, finish my portfolio for Creative Writing, and probably some other things that I'm forgetting at the moment. And I still have finals to study for. =( That said, I'm really glad I decided to tackle all of the above a solid week before the earliest item was due, because now I literally have nothing to do but study for my finals. (Both of which are a fortnight away, so I hopefully won't wind up needing to cram.)

Cannot wait until this semester is over and I'm home for the holidays! =)

So, I am at college now. Some interesting things so far...

  • We have a chocolate bar. It is actually called "The Chocolate Bar." Awesome.

  • So far, ten people have gotten arrested, an additional four kicked out of housing, and classes haven't even started yet.

  • My Internet is not working, yet my roommate's is. The technology center on campus is closed all weekend, so I'm stuck using the library computers until then. (Meaning I can't finish watching "Merlin"! Ugh.)

  • There are a ridiculous amount of stairs here. If you want to get anywhere, you have to take stairs. My dorm is on top of a hill, which makes going back to it a huge bitch. On the plus side, I guess my legs will be amazing within a few months.

  • In the hall bathroom, we have one soap/paper towel dispenser for eight sinks. This is incredibly ironic, considering how many e-mails the college sent us about protecting ourselves from the swine flu.

  • My school just hosted a "Target night" for the freshmen, and I got Apples to Apples. \m/

So, that's what's going on in my life right now. I still have to get a gym membership and figure out how to use the T (our public transportation system), but I guess things could be worse. =)
