come feed the rain

To celebrate finishing my English paper (or rather, saying "screw it" and writing a closing sentence), I've completed my new layout! I was this close to doing a Power Rangers layout, but nothing seemed to work. =/ Oh well, maybe another time.

This past week has been wicked busy. I've had to: write my honors paper, catch up on all my honors reading, do an entire chapter's worth of French homework, create three chapters' worth of French flashcards, write a film review for French, fill out a sheet on French culture, write a Shakespearean sonnet, write an English paper critiquing said Shakespearean sonnet, finish my portfolio for Creative Writing, and probably some other things that I'm forgetting at the moment. And I still have finals to study for. =( That said, I'm really glad I decided to tackle all of the above a solid week before the earliest item was due, because now I literally have nothing to do but study for my finals. (Both of which are a fortnight away, so I hopefully won't wind up needing to cram.)

Cannot wait until this semester is over and I'm home for the holidays! =)

New layout!

Okay, so, since I did this for the_lj_reboot, we're supposed to talk a little about the design process that went behind the making of the layout. I'll describe it as well as I can remember, because I made this layout back in October or November.

So, yeah, that's basically what happened with my layout. =) I'm very happy with it, except now I'll have to get used to having the sidebar on the left as opposed to the right. To everyone who's never contemplated joining the_lj_reboot, I would highly recommend it, because they have a ton of tips about CSS and it's really easy to follow along!

What do you guys think?

So, today I continued on my mission to single-handedly save the music industry, which led me to the purchase of:

Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill [Acoustic]
Delerium - Chimera
Bethany Dillon - Bethany Dillon

All of these albums are absolutely amazing, and I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Unfortunately, I saw about fifty other CDs I wanted in the music section, so that was not cool. -_-

Also unfortunately, I lost my wallet, which had about thirty dollars in it as well as a gift card to Border's. So not cool. I have no idea what happened to it after our trip to Hawaii, and I'm only 99% positive that I remember packing it. So not good.

Sometime this week I had a rather interesting conversation with my dad and my brother.

Dad: So, have you guys ever heard of Anye West?
Me and my brother: ...You mean, Kanye West?
Dad: Yeah, her too.
Me and my brother: *facepalm*
Me: Dad, Kanye West is a guy.
Dad: ...Oh.

*lols* Ah, Dad. Blind, deaf, and forgetful... *shakes head*

It's my first time customizing Bloggish; I think it came out relatively well. I still have to edit my userinfo and do a whole lot of other crap, but it's all good. :P
