To everyone who had questions concerning the end of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (particularly the status quo of Will/Elizabeth's relationship), this essay should clear everything up.

NOTE: There are, naturally, SPOILERS in the essay--do NOT click if you have NOT seen the movie! (Unless you want to be spoiled, of course.)

It is as I feared.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest? Not getting such good reviews.

The Boston Globe gave it 1 1/2 stars ("The dreaded curse of the sequels hits home with a vengeance in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest,' a noisy and lazy stopgap movie that goes absolutely nowhere and takes 2 1/2 hours to get there"), and according to RottenTomatoes, the rating on the TomatoMeter (it takes all of the available reviews, and averages them out) is only 61 percent.

Damn it. I knew this would happen. I knew it would be another washed up (no pun intended) sequel. =/

On the other hand, I saw some clips, and I'm glad to say that at least Captain Jack Sparrow's character is as good as ever.

Drink up me hearties, yo ho!

Lol, I had another crazy dream last night. Unfortunately, I don't remember most of it.

Dancing competition! )

Holy crap, I was over at [livejournal.com profile] hp_lotr_potc, and the mod posted a link to some dance contest videos. One of them was where the competitors dressed up as characters from POTC, and then they did this totally awesome dance routine that also had a ton of cool gymnastics, including one person who did a back flip into a straddle split. If I could do a standing back flip, I would so do that in my floor routine.

Here is the Hall of Fame site, and if you scroll a little ways down you'll see the video. It's pretty obvious- they show a picture of someone dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow.

And the freaky thing is: You know how old those people are?! THIRTEEN!

The mod of [livejournal.com profile] hp_lotr_potc also posted a link to "Hedwig's Theme - Rocked Out," which is basically a rock version of Hedwig's Theme made by some guys at MuggleNet. You can listen to it here.

Anyhow, moving on.

Weird dream I had last night )

Wow, yesterday I was online for NINE HOURS straight.

About five and a half hours of which I spent talking to [livejournal.com profile] elven_minority. We somehow got to talking about writing, and then I spent four hours (no joke) explaining my LOTR fic to her. Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] elven_minority! Heh, I think I made her eyeballs bleed on several occasions.

And then she started explaining to me her story, which I totally deserved, and that took about an hour to do.

Samples of conversation )

Meanwhile, I was listening to iTunes, having deep conversations with three other people in addition to [livejournal.com profile] elven_minority, making some icons with PSP9, receiving a constant stream of e-mails, updating both LiveJournals, checking other peoples' LiveJournals, working on my KA moodtheme, working on my story, editing my story, finally posting the eighth chapter on FF.Net.

*wipes forehead*

NEVER AGAIN, I swear. I didn't go out of the house once. I didn't do much exercising either; just crunches/sit-ups/v-ups/leg-lifts before bed. Ugh. I'm going to gain five hundred pounds by the end of summer vacation. My mom's all like, "Get out of the house today." I'll have to go on a bike ride or something.

Anyhow... um... linkage!

POTC2 SPOILERS )

Matt Damon picspam, not dial-up safe. GUH, I WANT to see The Departed NOW.
