Just wanted to recommend a community to those of y'all on my flist, or to whoever may be passing through:

themiddleearth is a Lord of the Rings-based challenge community. You join a team (your choices are Gondor, Lorien, The Shire, and Mordor) and then complete challenges (i.e. puzzles, icons, fanmixes, fanfic, etc) to earn points for your team. It's not incredibly competitive, even though the teams are, obviously, pitted against each other - think of it as an excuse to join lots of other people in making graphics and playing games related to The Lord of the Rings. I would highly recommend it!
