Huh.
So, Raf. I think I like him. He had his rookie moments, but he wasn't nearly as cocky as Sam. I loved the scene where he barged in on the woman with the knife and was all like, "Hey! I totally see where you're coming from, I'd probably want to kill this guy to," all light-hearted and stuff... and then he quickly got down to business with the story he told. a) That was some pretty damn good acting, considering how quickly he went from funny to serious, and b) I'm pretty sure there was no "friend."
I did cringe at the end when they had the actor singing, though. And it was kind of ironic, too, because Michael Cram never sang on the show... and this guy gets a song on his very first episode.
I fucking LOVED the incredibly awkward double date at the end, hahaha. Oh, Spike. "Hey, look, your sister showed up!" That kid is fucking adorable. I totally thought he was going to try the shrug/arm around the shoulder maneuver for a moment there, too. And now I really want tons of fic of Spike, Natalie, Sam, and Jules going on these incredibly awkward dates. And I want at least one fic where Spike has no idea that Sam and Jules are dating or have dated or whatever, and so he keeps getting the four of them together so he can spend more time with Natalie, and awkward shenanigans ensue.
What was up with Greg and that woman, though? Her "oh my God, it's you!" moment when the creepy stalker guy died, along with the way she approached him at the end of the day and asked him how he was doing, made it seem almost like they'd known each other before? I was kind of confused at that part.
Overall, I liked the episode. And next week's looks intense!!! >:O
