Three episodes into Ninja Storm, which I've never seen before.
Theme song is very catchy.
I was a bit underwhelmed by the pilot, but it was still better than the Lost Galaxy pilot. The destruction of the ninja academy was pretty intense. Gotta love Cam - though I do wonder how he managed to find out about his father's condition when he was trapped under the rubble. Also, a talking hamster? SERIOUSLY? Fail.
Not so sure how I feel about the Rangers themselves. Dustin's amusing, but their dialogue is so cringe-worthy. The one-liners are pretty bad most of the time, especially when they're fighting. Tori's voice annoys me for some reason and Shane seems blah as a Red Ranger. I've never been a fan of the "cocky Red Ranger needs to learn the importance of teamwork" episodes, so I was kind of bummed that they chose to go that angle with him.
Zords seem pretty cool, with much better graphics than I've ever seen on Power Rangers. I don't really understand why you need a plane, yacht, and amusement park to make them, but I guess I'll go with it.
The villains are okay so far. Lothor is oddly attractive, and Marah is hilarious. Looking forward to the two evil Rangers making an appearance, even though their voices sound ridiculous.
That said... I don't like how this (or Wild Force, depending on how you looked at Alyssa's powers) is the first of many without a Pink Ranger. Not fucking cool.
