My prompt was: "Elves on Spaceships"
Title: Carnival of Rust
Plot: After conquering a string of galaxies, the Others arrive to make Earth their latest casualty. Targeting the planet for both its natural resources (which the Others are in desperate need of) and potential recruits for the cause, the Others send out special operatives to slowly infiltrate the planet and make resistance impossible.
Meanwhile, the Elves, a people from another galaxy long ago conquered by the Others, have regrouped under the leadership of a veteran fighter and are attempting to thwart the Others' plans. They hope that, by preventing the Others from accessing Earth's resources, the Elves will be able to successfully revolt against the Others and reclaim their galaxy.
In the middle of everything stand the humans, most of which remain unaware that their planet is at stake. Only a few, through chance or suspicion, have come to realize that the men and women who have recently entered their lives - new coworkers, acquaintances, lovers - are not who they seem to be.
The Others
Suliet: The Supervillain {played by Elizabeth Mitchell}
Wants control of Earth for its vast quantities of natural resources, which she plans to use to conquer other galaxies.
Pop quiz: Guess where I stand on the Suliet vs. Skate debate. ;D
Sun: The Rival {played by Yunjin Kim}
Suliet's sister and enemy. Known for her ruthlessness and sadism. Is currently off conquering another galaxy, but has plans to return and destroy Suliet.
LaFleur: The Second-in-Command {played by Josh Holloway}
As Suliet's right-hand man, LaFleur has never backed down from the line of duty. However, he starts to question his loyalties when he meets Kate (Evangeline Lilly) while working undercover as a Secret Service agent.
Sean: The Mean Bean {played by Sean Bean}
Carries out Suliet's dirty work: torture, murder, genocide, etc. Feared throughout every galaxy conquered by the Others, and rightfully so.
Sibylla: The Dreamer {played by Eva Green}
Sean's daughter. Used to have a thing with the leader of the Elven army (Viggo Mortensen), but ultimately sided with her family when Suliet conquered the Elves.
The Elves
Nikolai: The Leader {played by Viggo Mortensen}
Cool, calm, and collected. Keeps to himself - no one knows much about him, except that he's calculating and brilliant. It was he who pushed for an alliance with Men, even though the other Elves were at first reluctant. His fighting prowess is legendary.
Guinevere: Femme Fatale {played by Keira Knightley}
Nikolai's right-hand woman. Incredibly intelligent - and lethal. Has a soft spot for Paris (Orlando Bloom), but doesn't show it because her priority is vengeance against Suliet. Scarily accurate with a gun.
Anggun: The Diplomat {played by Anggun}
Although diplomacy is a dying art as far as the Others are concerned, she is coordinating the effort to reach out to humans. Her days are spent gathering massive quantities of information to learn the customs of Earth, and then using the data to figure out the best methods to communicate with humans.
Hephaestion: The Double Agent {played by Jared Leto}
His job is to infiltrate the streets of Earth and work against the Others - whether by interfering with their recruiting process, tracking down and assassinating known Others, or any other special operations that need to be done. Some of his encounters and assignments have left him with physical and mental scars; as a result, he rarely smiles and has trouble forming lasting friendships. His growing relationship (both professional and personal) with one of his human contacts (Colin Farrell), however, may significantly change his outlook on life.
Paris: The Young Recruit {played by Orlando Bloom}
Incredibly athletic and agile, but prone to the occasional broken bone - usually because of reckless behavior. Has been in love with Guinevere for years, but she's never showed any signs of returning his feelings.
The Humans
Tiberias: The Scholar {played by Jeremy Irons}
English professor at Oxford. Witty; capable of cutting anyone down a notch or two. Wife and children were killed by the Others. Put two and two together when he found a hair from the murderers and had its DNA tested, only to be told that it belonged to no known species on Earth. Has since been in contact with Nikolai and is coordinating human resistance to the Others.
Foxy: The Secret Service Agent
Recovering alcoholic with daddy issues (i c wat u did thar). Able to access critical information and arrange meetings with government personnel. Is romantically interested in Kate (Evangeline Lilly), but his duty to the President and his country prevent him from pursuing her. Was once the favorite pupil of Tiberias; as a result, was alerted early on about the Others and is now involved with the resistance.
Kate: The President's Daughter {played by Evangeline Lilly}
Due to her somewhat rebellious nature, she is adept at dodging Secret Service agents and often takes off on her own - ignoring her father's orders to have bodyguards with her at all times. During a chance encounter with LaFleur, she quickly figures out that he's not from Earth... but continues to see him anyway.
Alexander: The Crime Boss {played by Colin Farrell}
Torn between his loyalty to the Irish Mob and his relationship with Hephaestion; trying to juggle secretly supporting the Elves with the need to keep his family safe and unaware of his true colors.
Kimberly: The Cop {played by Amy Jo Johnson}
Has had plenty of experience fighting crime. Joins the resistance after her husband is taken prisoner by the Mean Bean. Has serious ass-kicking abilities and isn't afraid to use them.
I don't know about you guys, but I suddenly want this show to exist.
