FORMAT: CD
ARTIST: Thievery Corporation
TITLE: Sounds From the Thievery Hi-Fi
01. So, apparently we've made the transition from sleek, nightclub music to broad daylight rapping music. With no female singers in sight (or hearing range). What?
02. When will people understand that no one wants to listen to a seven plus minute song, unless it's "American Pie"?
03. They keep repeating the same things over and over and over again.
04. We do have some females at the end of "Shaolin Satellite," but they're very chant-y and then the song just reverts to that annoying, repetitive "One, two, I'll check a one-two" which they've probably said about a hundred times already.
05. "Vivid" is much better, with a series of drums at the beginning that sounds like it should be accompanied by belly dancers or something.
06. It always creeps me out when random voices start talking like robots in songs. *points to "The Foundation"* But it's somewhat okay, because they're talking about knights and samurai... don't ask me why.
07. And what, may I ask, is so special about 38.45 that it should be considered "A Thievery Number"?
08. I wasn't terribly impressed with this album. The songs are pretty much the same thing over and over again, and the random voices aren't exactly helping. =/
