After that disaster that was Inga what's-her-face, I'm giving the music thing another go with Mindy Smith. Yay, acoustic!

TITLE: Long Island Shores
01. Definitely liking this a lot better. I can understand everything that she's saying, the guitar is very well-played (and no random cars going by in the background or whatever), and her voice isn't drowned out by the instruments.
02. "What If the World Stops Turning" is such a pretty duet, I wish I knew who was singing with her.
03. These songs are really nice and upbeat! It gets a bit folksy sometimes, but it's nowhere near Ani DiFranco.
04. Mindy almost sounds like some of the new Mandy Moore tracks that have come out recently, and since I like Mandy Moore, that's a good thing. =)
05. There's nothing particularly amazing about this album, but she has a very pleasant voice and she (or someone else in the studio) is very good with a guitar. And a violin, or at least in "Long Island Shores."
