Does anyone else get spam from Gmail that has snippets of prose in the subject line? I get all this junk that consists of things like:

He had never shown anyone a manuscript before he had typed it and retyped it. Flames were licking through Annie's arm. "Everyone hates me!" she screamed, slipping the hypo into her skirt pocket and sitting down on the bed. I held the manuscript in my hand...


Have they already figured out that I'm an avid reader and are trying to entice me by putting random pieces of (badly written) prose in their e-mails? Or does this happen to everyone else?

Theyre a little dog-eared, but thats a sign a book has been well read and well loved, isnt it?
