FORMAT: CD
ARTIST: Lily Allen
TITLE: Alright, Still

01. Hee, I love the song "Smile." Her accent really shows through here, and as someone who's a huge fan of British accents, this is definitely a plus. =) I've heard people say she was the British version of Paris Hilton, but Allen actually has talent, so that ruins the comparison.

02. I'm a little confused by "Knock 'Em Out." The whole point of the song is her (or some girl) refusing the advances of a guy, but in the first verse it's the other way around. Why does she do that? It's a great song, though--lol, it's pretty amusing to hear all the excuses she comes up with.

03. I love how she says nasty things in a really nice tone with light, happy background music. For example, in the song "LDN," the instrumentals are all upbeat, but she's tossing out words like "pimp" and "crack whore." It's great.

04. In the vein of the last comment, she also manages to get away with really raunchy lyrics because of the way she says them and her happy-go-lucky instrumentals. I totally admire that. I feel like I could play this in front of my parents and they wouldn't get it at all, because they wouldn't even notice the lyrics.

05. The hand clapping in "Shame For You" is kind of awesome.

06. LOL, I love the song "Alfie." It's pretty hilarious.

Ooooo deary me,
My little brother's in his bedroom smoking weed,
I tell him he should get up cos it's nearly half past three
He can't be bothered cos he's high on THC.

*sporfle* And once again, the instruments make it, because they're so happy you'd never imagine anyone singing about marijuana to them.

07. Um, yeah, so, this album is basically the shit. I don't know how she can say all this stuff and get away with it, but it's amazing.
