Okay, so, a lot of people seem to have a resolution to either read 100 books or see 100 movies. Since I probably won't be reading 100 books or seeing 100 movies, I decided to take the easy way out and combine them. Basically, I'll be trying to do 100 reviews of books, music, and movies. I haven't really decided yet whether they'll be stuff I haven't read/seen/listened to, but I feel like that would be kind of cheating. =)
In any case, my first review is the film Miami Vice, which I just saw early this evening. So...
FORMAT: Movie
TITLE: Miami Vice
ACTORS: Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx
01. Colin Farrell is one of the sexiest men alive.
02. Jamie Foxx isn't that bad, either.
03. I couldn't really keep track of all the people, but it didn't end up mattering all that much. Basically, what we needed to know was that Farrell and Foxx were going undercover, and all the ugly people were bad guys. Whenever low music played, danger was imminent.
04. The entire film was shot in grainy footage. It took a little while to get used to at first, but I actually really liked the way it was done, because it seemed to fit in very well with the seedy side of Miami. The scene where Farrell and Foxx were walking down the street to meet with the bad guy was excellent; I loved the shots of the eyes watching them (both painted and real).
05. I wasn't too crazy about Farrell's girlfriend, and I didn't really understand what the attraction was in the first place. I mean, they shared one lingering look while she was being driven away in a car, but that was pretty much it, and they just progressed right to the hot sex (believe me, it was hot) afterwards.
06. Was Foxx's girlfriend his wife? If not, isn't there some rule against being so openly sexually active with a fellow cop?
07. I am really surprised that Numb/Encore wasn't in the soundtrack, especially since not only was it in every trailer for this movie, but it was also played in the beginning of the movie. Awesome song, awesome way to start the film.
Final verdict:

P.S. I totally didn't steal this idea from
