Dear Spanish Teacher Who Still Isn't Teaching Spanish,

FRIGGING STOP TRYING TO BRAINWASH US THAT THE UNITED STATES IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF SOUTH AMERICA'S PROBLEMS.

Taking us to an assembly where the United States's immigration policy is criticized almost every other sentence (when it is, in fact, far more generous than any other country's) is all kinds of ridiculous. I'm sick of hearing about how we're at fault for all the problems in the world. Oh, woe is the poor South American worker who can't get into the United States because of our inherently classist immigration policy. Well, guess what? Three of my grandparents immigrated into the United States (two of them from South America)... legally! None of them were rich, famous, or important in any way. And yet, somehow they managed to get past the "classist" immigration policies. Golly gee...

I swear, lady, if you keep this act up I'm going to complain to the school board or something. After all, not only are you attempting to brainwash us about how the United States is evil, but you're not even teaching us any Spanish, which last I checked was the POINT of a SPANISH class.

Then again, complaining to the school probably won't do anything, because considering the faculty ridicule our government on a daily basis, they'll just ignore me.

Sincerely,
your AMERICAN student [livejournal.com profile] anolinde*
