(no subject)

Just to let everyone know, I'm probably going to be making this journal friends-only as soon as I have enough time to make a new layout. (It's going to be of Jared Leto!) Chances are, I'll leave my old entries unlocked, but after that everything will be friends-only.

01. I spoke to my history teacher today about possibly taking the European History AP test, and it's a shitload of work - even more than AP US History. Not only do you have to read a thousand-page textbook (which is what APUSH stopped at), but you also have to read ten or so supplementary books, at about 150 pages each, which essentially comes down to about a hundred pages of reading a week until the test in May. To top it off, I'd have to do everything on my own, because our school doesn't offer the course. The time commitment, as a result, might be a problem with my schedule (see below).

02. I finally got a job, yay! I'll be working at a lawyer's office, doing things like filing and cleaning. Sounds right up my alley. =) The people there seem really nice, which is good, and I can dress casually, which is also a plus. ^_^

The hours are Tuesday - Thursday (the office isn't open on Friday - Sunday, which means no conflict over the weekend), on Tuesday 3:00 - 5:00, Wednesday 2:00 - 5:00 (which would entail me rushing to gymnastics, considering it starts at 5:30 and is all the way on the other side of the town), and Thursday 3:00 - 5:00. Not bad at all, and it hopefully won't interfere too much with my homework. The only real issue will be on Wednesday, but since we have a free block on that day I'll likely be able to get some of my homework done.

03. My schedule's going to get a little more hectic (but at the same time, more manageable in terms of how much free time I have) in a couple of months, because in order for me to become a black belt in karate, I have to switch over to the advanced class, which meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays right in the middle of my gymnastics practices. This means that on Mondays, I'll only have gymnastics from 5:30 - 6:30, then off to karate from 7:00 - 8:00. On Saturdays, I'll have karate from 9:45 - 10:30, then gymnastics from about 11:00 - 12:30. Not an ideal schedule, because it cuts a fourth of my gymnastics time out, which could be problematic as we get to the meet season, but hopefully I'll get my belt within a year, at which point I'm going to take a break from karate until I'm done with gymnastics.

*wipes forehead* Jeez, that's a mouthful.

04. So, in short, if I take the European History AP, combine it with all of my classes/homework, new job, and gymnastics/karate every single day of the week, not to mention Dance Troupe, I will have no free time left to work on my story, which is not at all something I want to happen, because I've been working on it for almost five years and gah! Damnit, where are those Time-Turners when you need them?

Anyway... flist, what's up with you?

Damn, are you trying to kill yourself?

Nah, if I was, I'd probably be stuffing myself with chocolate, because at least then I'd die happy. ;)
