I'm back!I am officially back from vacation! Muahahaha. I had
so much fun.
Highlights of the trip:- Going to the Excalibur in Las Vegas and posing for a picture with the people dressed up in medieval guard (and the hot one kissed my hand!)
- Seeing Cirque du Soleil at the Bellagio (they were absolutely AMAZING)
- Seeing the "rainstorm" at the Aladdin (lol, it was so funny--only a few drops of water sprinkling into a pond with some totally fake thunder and lightning, and the people in Nevada are leik woah)
- Once in Hawaii, seeing
4 8 15 on sunscreen bottles (there were three bottles arranged like that... creepy)
- Seeing the African Black-Footed Penguins (so cute!)
- Going to the Mokuleia Beach (where LOST was filmed) and standing on the sand that OMG JOSH, FOXY, AND DOM walked on)
- In general, being within a thirty-mile radius of the cast of LOST
- Seeing the most
gorgeous mountain ranges ever
- Going to the Grand Wailea and swimming in the bazillion pools
- Going on a trip to Lanai, especially since the guys working on our boat were so hot (one looked like Billy Boyd, and the other had a strict no-shirts policy)
- Taking two thirty-minute flights (as opposed to four five-hour flights) and getting water in apple sauce containers)
- Going on a thirty-seven mile bike ride... downhill
- FINALLY getting to sleep in a different bed than my brother
- Once in San Fran(cisco), going to the Fisherman's Wharf
- LOLing at some ugly, drunk lady trying to chat up a hot bartender
- Talking to
elven_pirate_22 at an Oakland vs. Red Sox game and getting dirty looks from the fans (I was like, "I HATE baseball... Ugh, I don't want to be here... What a waste of a ticket... I
totally think Johnny Damon should be back on the Red Sox... that's definitely why they're losing, because they don't have their Jesus hair...)
- LOLing at how pathetic the Red Sox are (7-2... haha)
- Meeting some totally random cousins on my dad's side and having a blast with them
- Seeing my sixty-plus-year-old cousin's trees (they had Ent faces on them!)
- Seeing my sixty-plus-year-old cousin's husband (his name's Manual and he works on cars--
and he wears cowboy boots)
- Coming home and seeing my LOTR DVDs! =DDD
Things I am amazed by:- How many people smoked in Las Vegas. Seriously, it was disgusting.
- How much of a frigging desert Nevada is. We could see the Grand Canyon from the window of the plane... the rest of the state looked so much better from above than it did from the ground.
- How hot Las Vegas was (100+ degrees... and apparently we came during a cool spell!).
- How tacky most of the hotels, even the nicer ones, were. (Especially the MGM Grand--that thing was so tacky!)
- How many miles of casinos they have in the hotel.
- How many Asian people there were in Oahu. I couldn't believe it. It was basically like walking through China, only in a tropical setting.
- How much, well,
stuff there was in Oahu. I thought it would be way more tropical, but there was a huge city and houses built on the mountains and everything.
- How tiny Lanai is (only 3300 people living on it!).
- How FREEZING it is at the top of mountains there (35- degrees and nippy, ew).
- How long the Bay Bridge in San Fran is (it takes, like, five to ten minutes to drive over it in good time--they get so much traffic that they had to put two levels, one for each way).
- How cool my previously unknown cousins are.
- How sick I can get of my family after spending sixteen days with them.
- How much I wanted to kill my brother after he woke us all up three nights in a row by screaming (he does it in his sleep--so
he gets enough rest, but we don't) and kicking me (we had to share a bed... ugh). Then he had the nerve to yell at me when I yanked the pillow out from under his head. Bitch.
- How much I wanted to inflict serious bodily harm on my brother.
- Did I mention how much I wanted to kill my brother?
So, all is said and done, and I am now officially back in suburbia. Woot!
Hope ya'll behaved yourselves. ;)
