Review #048: Enigma - Voyageur

FORMAT: CD
ARTIST: Enigma
TITLE: Voyageur

This is the last Enigma CD, I promise.

01. The opening track, "From East To West," is excellent. I love the rhythm--the bass is excellent, and while at first I wasn't too fond of the person drawing a breath every three seconds, it grew on me. There's also another instrument in there that I can't name (I think it might be a relative of the tambourine) that adds a lot to the song.

02. The beginning of "Incognito" is a little frightening. Does anyone remember Justin Timberlake making those sound effects at the end of "Rock Your Body"? Yeah, it's kind of like that.

03. I love the song "Boum Boum"! I don't know why they spelt it differently, but that just adds to the general awesomeness of the track.

04. In the song "Look of Today," whenever the guy says "look" I keep thinking he's saying "luge," which of course makes me think of "lube." *wipes dirty mind* Damn their accents!

05. "Following the Sun" is another good track; it's about as close to an actual song as Enigma gets, which was pretty cool. I think they might have gotten a new vocalist for this song, but she's really good. I like her a lot better than the breathing lady.

06. I'll give you three guesses as to what rating I'm going to give this, and the first two don't count.

Try Jens Gad - Le Spa Sonique
Achillea - The Nine Worlds of Viking Myth
Achillea 2 - Amadas Estrellas
Enigmatic Obsession - Secret of Seduction

These are done by a co-creator of Enigma, you might like these better?

Ooh, I have Jens Gad and Achillea--I really liked those albums! I don't have the other two, but I'll definitely check them out. =) Thanks for the recommendations!

You should do a review for all of them and continue the Enigma-like marathon. ;)

Amadas Estrellas is pretty much all in Spanish.
